Chef
Claudio Pirollo - Biography
Born in Eterbeek, Belgium, Claudio
grew up around his family’s
catering business. He spent most of
his days after school and every weekend
assisting his parents at Traiteur
Giordani.
At the age of 14, he continued to study thru an
apprenticeship with his father at their catering
business. Claudio then began a 2nd apprenticeship
at Sodehotel in Brussels, Belgium. These experiences
created a foundation, which carried him on to
pursue a career in the culinary industry.
At the age of twenty, he competed
and won the contest for the Best Young Chef of
Belgium. During the next six years, he worked
as Sous Chef then Executive Chef in Brussels,
Belgium, Geneva, Switzerland, Lausanne, Switzerland
and Paris, France. Claudio worked for such establishments
as Noga Hilton in Geneva, Hotel Plaza Athenee
in Paris, which were 2 and 3 star Michelin restaurants.
Claudio arrived in Washington,
DC in 1999 where he became an Executive Chef at
Montmarte Restaurant. He than became the Personal
Chef to the Residence of the Ambassador of Ireland
to the United States.
